Expert Services

In addition to the various Alternative Dispute Resolution services offered by The Architectural Alliance Group, AAG provides expert witness and litigation support services as is often necessary during the traditional litigation process.

Expert services provided by AAG are custom tailored to meet our clients' needs. While working closely with the client and counsel, AAG will provide expert research, forensic analysis, target required information and witnesses, establish opinions and provide expert testimony.

AAG Role

As with most design projects, the majority of design and construction disputes involve multiple disciplines.  As the Coordinating Expert, The Architectural Alliance Group will oversee and supervise the various experts involved to ensure that all issues are appropriately analyzed and that no overlaps occur.

AAG Experience

The Architectural Alliance Group has provided expert witness and litigation support services on a variety of project types including residential, educational, institutional and commercial.  AAG has been involved in unique disputes regarding the abatement of hazardous materials, manufacturer's defects, and historic matters.

AAG has been retained by both the plaintiff and defendant sides of disputes.  AAG's services are typically purchased by corporations, insurance companies, architects, engineers, contractors, developers, building owners, legal firms, home owner associations and individuals.

Claim Types

The types of claims that The Architectural Alliance Group are most commonly involved in include the following:

   Construction Defects including claims regarding roofs, decks and balconies, windows and doors, waterproofing, ventilation, siding, masonry, stucco, EIFS and finishes

   Design Defects including claims regarding errors and omissions, code compliancy and accessibility requirements

   Claims Analysis including schedule delay, acceleration, change-in-scope, value-add, differing conditions, lost productivity, non-payment and breach of contract

   Industry Standards and Professional Standard of Care

AAG Approach

Unique to AAG's services regarding design and construction defect claims, when required and upon request, AAG will prepare design and construction documents necessary to implement all repair and remediation work.  AAG will continue assisting the client throughout the construction process to ensure that the work is performed in conformance with the construction documents.
